Advertising and cookies
Ad slots on these sites may be served by third-party networks that set cookies or similar identifiers. Where the law requires consent, ads are non-personalised until you give it, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy controls in the page footer. We do not run fingerprinting scripts and we do not sell audience segments built from your behaviour.
Google, as a third-party vendor
- We use Google AdSense to serve advertising on these sites.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks, including Google, may also place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons to collect information, as a result of ad serving on our sites.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or the NAI opt-out page.
- If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we present a consent message before any personalised advertising cookie is set, and you can withdraw or change that consent at any time.
- Google's own handling of data is described in the Google privacy & terms notice for partner sites.
Who we share with
- Nobody, by default.
- Named lead-generation partners, only for the specific request you submitted and consented to.
- Processors that run our email and hosting infrastructure, under contract.
- Authorities, where legally compelled.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or object to processing; and you may opt out of "sale"/"sharing" as defined by US state privacy laws (we do not sell data, but the opt-out is honoured regardless). Email privacy@metax.academy and we will verify and respond within the statutory deadline.
Children
Our sites are aimed at adults making commercial and household decisions. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
International transfers
Our processors may store data outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted. Access to form submissions is limited to the staff who need it. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant regulator within the required timeframe.
Forms and stored submissions
Newsletter sign-ups, quote requests and saved calculator scenarios are stored in our own hosted datastore, and are used only for the purpose stated on the form you submitted. Please do not include sensitive information (health, financial account numbers, government identifiers) in a free-text form field — if a partner needs that detail they will collect it directly over their own secure channel.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting consent will be re-consented rather than applied retroactively.
